Exhibitor Hosted Session at ToxExpo Tues, March 17, 2009 recent developments in non-invasive blood pressure measurements on large animals. The objective of this session is to explain the technical progresses that are being made to measure blood pressure (in dogs) in a non-invasive manner. Participants will gain an understanding of what they can actually measure, what protocols can be followed and for which set of experiments non-invasive blood pressure measurements are suitable. This session will present ongoing tests to evaluate the non-invasive blood pressure system proposed by emka TECHNOLOGIES. Attendees will learn how to assess their need(s) for such a system. Date: Tues, March 17 Time: 12:15 PM-1:15 PM Room Assignment: 338 Lunch will be provided.
SOT 2009 - March 16-17th, 2009 - Baltimore Convention Center - Baltimore, MD - booth #1655 - come visit us! www.toxicology.org SOT is right around the corner and soon we'll all be converging on Baltimore. In preparation, we wanted to let you know our location in the exhibit hall, and offer information on our products and services. emka TECHNOLOGIES provides software & hardware solutions for the life sciences. Our products and services are tailored to meet the needs of glp and discovery toxicology and safety pharmacology laboratories. Please visit us at booth #1655 in the exhibit hall to see how we can help your laboratory meet its research goals. We are featuring 5 products at SOT: 1 - emkaPACK non-invasive telemetry system - measure up to 7 leads of ECG, thoracic and abdominal respiration, and blood pressure with the first validated, non-invasive tail cuff system for blood pressure measurement in ambulatory animals. The system will allow measurements of up to 72 hours continuously without cross-talk, and the ability to group house if needed. 2 - modified head-out plethysmograph - measure respiratory parameters in rats with less stress; allowing for longer recordings of higher quality. Add a second chamber for dual chamber flow measurements or aerosol delivery. 3 - ecgAUTO v2 software - provides high-throughput analysis of ECG, hemodynamic, respiratory, and other waveform data using a field proven shape recognition algorithm. Add-on modules provide embedded video data, advanced hrv analysis, and EEG/sleep scoring.
4 - studyDESIGNER v2 software - provides study design, workflow management, data organization, data acquisition, and analysis within a GLP environment. studyDESIGNER meets the needs of the entire research team by directing technical staff with an integrated workflow management module, and providing study managers and directors, with the ability to organize, secure, acquire and analyze data in an efficient manner. The system communicates with your in-house LIMS systems like Provantis™.
5 - validation - emka offers full service, or a la carte validation of our systems or those of other vendors. Our dedicated validation specialist has years of experience working in both CRO and large pharmaceutical environments. Please visit booth #1655 for more information and a demonstration of our capabilities. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at our booth!
