AIT 2008 - October 8-10th, 2008 - Gresham Hotel, Dublin, Ireland - come visit us!
This year's 3 day conference will commence with a half-day Continuing Professional Development course focussing on the respiratory tract, featuring presentations on deposition/clearance, upper and lower tract histopathology, as well as special pathology relating to the respiratory tract. This course, together with the rest of the conference has been approved the Royal College of Pathologists to contribute up to 14 points towards the CPD required to remain on the UK and Eurotox list of Registered Toxicologists.
On the second day the main conference programme commences with presentations on dosing techniques for powders, liquids, gases, vapours, fragile molecules, also addressing clinical device design/incorporation into preclinical studies. This is followed by presentations on design and operational considerations relating to intranasal, whole-body, head only, large animal and juvenile exposure systems.
The final day will include presentations on aerosol monitoring methodology (collection, sizing, real-time), respiratory rate measurement methodology (plethysmography, telemetry), dose calculation with reference to pharmaceutical and chemical studies, through industry experience of regulatory attitudes to newer approaches (oligonucleotides) and ending with an animated (hopefully) open forum discussion of client/regulatory interactions when presented with developing drug therapies
