Our single-bath setup was originally designed as an easy-to-use setup in which the different systems are distinct. It is well suited to most applications (aorta, trachea, papillary muscles...), due to the availability of a wide range of tissue fixation hooks and baths of different volumes.

The standard setup consists of a mainframe supporting one bath assemby, itself composed of:

• a thermostatic jacket
• a removable PMMA or glass tissue bath
• a Vernier positioner
• a precision gas valve

Bath filling and flushing are driven by carbogen pressure and a vacuum, respectively.

Transducers, amplifiers and software are identical to those used with the bench-top tissue baths setup.
